UAE Delivers Urgent Humanitarian Aid to Storm Affected Paraguay

The UAE has deployed an emergency relief mission to help affected communities in Paraguay after powerful and extreme weather struck with devastating effect affecting many homes, buildings and key structures. The initiative is aligned with UAE’s goal to provide international humanitarian aid and support vulnerable communities which were impacted by natural hazards.

UAE President Directs Emergency Relief

The UAE humanitarian aid project was initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives. The help is to reduce the effect of the storms on suffering families, especially those that lost their homes and livelihoods.

UAE Aid Agency Leads Relief Operations

UAE Aid Agency is leading the emergency response alongside the Paraguayan Government and relevant International organisations. The aim of the operation is to establish needs among the population at the highest level of emergency and provide necessary relief.

Coordination With Paraguayan Authorities

Dr Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, spoke at the significance of swift mobilisation at the time of significant climatic catastrophe. Agency teams are collaborating closely with the UAE Embassy in Paraguay to identify affected communities’ needs, resources needed, and priority areas, in order to be able to express them in the best possible format for use in the assessment of the damages.

Essential Supplies for Affected Families
