Saudi Arabia enforces vaccine protocols for Umrah 2025 pilgrims
Saudi Arabia is planning to introduce stricter vaccine protocols for Umrah 2025 pilgrims. This is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the health of millions visiting the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah each year.
The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority has notified that pilgrims be vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis, polio, COVID-19, seasonal influenza and other conditions. Pilgrims are advised to complete vaccinations for tetanus and measles.
Saudi Arabia has urged all pilgrims to carry health-related documents throughout their journey. It is also recommended that pilgrims suffering from chronic health conditions bring medical documentation and sufficient medication, ensuring it is in its original packaging.
In order to prevent the spread of diseases, all pilgrims coming for Umrah 2025 are recommended to put on protective clothing and use insect repellents such as DEET, Icaridin and IR3535. Keep an eye out for more information.
