Saudi Royal Advisor and Bahraini Ambassador Explore Cultural Ties

The special reality that His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, The Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Fahad National Library has attended Wednesday in Riyadh welcoming; Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa The Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia.

The co-ordination summit of the two GCC nations dealt with the promotion of cultural and intellectual ties between the two countries. Both participants had substantial talks on possible ways of cooperation in historical records and national libraries.

The speeches stressed on the desire of both warring kings to maintain the continuity of their cultural identity and learn from one another. Prince Faisal underlined the need for cooperation in such areas as preservation of the historical information and availability of cultural materials for the people of both countries during his speech as the Chairman of the King Fahad National Library.

In the course of the meeting, the Ambassador thanked the King Fahad National Library for its noble task in the preservation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s history. The candidate also appreciated work done by the library in developing cultural consciousness as well as the variety and richness of books and materials in its stock and the available educational programmes.

This meeting proves the friendly relations existing between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, it also shows the willingness of the two nations to expand their cooperation not only in political and economic fields but also in the field of scholars and culture.
