The Qatar tourism board officially announces its much-anticipated campaign titled “Kids Go Free,” which is set to hit the UAE this summer, offering one of the largest tourist packages this year for families in Qatar. The program will run from May 1 until Sept. 30 and aims to work toward making summer getaways easier on budget, activities indoors and family fun more affordable during the Gulf’s busiest summer months of the year.
As the temperatures rise, Qatar Tourism has put Doha on the spotlight as a convenient place to stay, enjoy free meals, and free entertainment at participating hotels, resorts and attractions for children under 12 years of age. The campaign may save thousands of QR this season for expat families who do not like to go on expensive outings abroad.
‘Kids Go Free’ Campaign
The Kids Go Free campaign introduced in 2026 is much bigger than the previous years’ and there are now over 100 hotels, entertainment and tourism partners taking part from around the country.
The campaign comes as residents in the GCC Countries look for affordable summer vacations without added stress of traveling internationally. Rather than travel overseas, plenty of families are choosing to have luxury ‘staycation’ stays in Qatar and take full advantage of the numerous offerings that are available to them in the country – particularly when it comes to enjoying discounted outdoor and indoor entertainment for children.
New “12 and Under” Rule
There’s one significant change for this year. Same age limit for all participating partners. Benefits now available free of charge for children aged 12 and under as long as they are paid by an adult.
This includes any existing hotel accommodations, free meals from kids’ menus and free entry to certain attractions and indoor entertainment areas. A simplified structure has facilitated families to work out savings in advance of booking.
Luxury Hotels Offering Free Stays for Kids
A campaign to pay for the hotel rooms for children to stay at a flat rate has now been launched by several luxury resorts and city hotels, and it will be expanded later this year.
Extending the norm in the city of freebies in Dubai, popular family-friendly holiday homes around Doha are also package extras like free breakfast, late checkout, pools plus dining discounts. The cost of accommodation alone can easily exceed QR1,500 when on a long weekend staycation for larger families.
Theme Parks Driving Massive Interest

Waterpark Deals and Desert Falls are among the most popular waterpark packages to choose from. The most popular participating attractions this summer include Desert Falls Water & Adventure Park.
Special summer programming, such as the “Cool Zones” and free kid’s admission on weekdays, is underway, and will continue throughout the remainder of the season.
In particular, the attraction has garnered a lot of family popularity due to the availability of evening hours; Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the most popular dates for the discounted option.
How Families Are “Stacking” Discounts?
To maximize savings, savvy residents are taking advantage of the “Kids Go Free” promotion and local banking offers to combine savings wherever possible.
In addition, a few banks in Qatar like Qatar National Bank (QNB) and the CBQ will offer extra discounts for booking hotels and resort packages with valid cards. Luxury holiday companies claim the packages are landing families with accommodations as well as restaurant prices and complimentary access for kiddos under one reservation for thousands of dollars in savings.
The initiative isn’t restricted to hotels and amusement parks. This summer, there are also free educational opportunities for kids that will be held in the cultural institutions.
