1. Hogwarts and Diagon Alley Will Come Together

One of the highlights will be that Hogwarts Castle and Diagon Alley will be united in the same space. The concept also aims to incorporate elements from the Forbidden Forest for multiple areas to be explored by visitors.

2. The Entire Experience Will Be Indoors

The expansion will be a fully-controlled indoor attraction that will comprise around 40,000 square metres. This, in turn, will make the Wizarding World accessible to visitors all year round, during Abu Dhabi’s hottest summer months included.

3. The Opening Is Expected Around 2029

The project has an on-going planning period that extends to an opening date of around 2029, but travellers should await an official opening date for specific travel plans. Works on extension land are underway to make the project a reality.

4. Warner Bros. World Will Become Significantly Larger

The Harry Potter expansion will also boost the footprint of the Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, by roughly 26%. It’s a large scale and isn’t just a tiny themed attraction.

5. Three New Attractions Are Planned

Miral has revealed three new attractions for the expansion. The project data included also doesn’t give the final names of the rides or specs so fans should look for more official pronouncements on the attractions and their experience.

6. Expect Wizarding World Dining and Shopping

The site will host food, beverage and retail experiences “inspired by Harry Potter” within an immersive land. They can expect themed areas that relate to Butterbeer, appetizing dining and entertaining shoplifting as well, including the new “wand” shopping.

7. Yas Island’s Entertainment Offering Gets Another Boost

The expansion is designed to enhance Yas Island’s reputation as a leading entertainment hub. The family-friendly Warner Bros. World is part of a cluster of attractions like Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and SeaWorld Yas Island, which will allow visitors to mix and match while enjoying a trip with the whole family.
