Qatar Charity has managed to reach 60,000 beneficiaries with its yearly ‘Mobile Iftar’ project during the holy month of Ramadan. The project provides ready to eat food to fasting individuals especially drivers at numerous sites around Doha, allowing them to break their fast immediately with the call to Maghrib prayer.
The project targets 2,000 individuals per day with meals distributed 15 minutes before Maghrib at six major traffic signals namely Al Murkhiya, The Mall, Al-Rayyan, Abdullah Abdul Ghani, Gulf and Sheraton. Meals are also distributed at two metro stations every day. The project has turned into a tradition during Ramadan in Qatar indicating the principles of compassion, unity and voluntary work.
Qatar Charity expresses gratitude to all its donors for their contributions in making the ‘Mobile Iftar’ project a success. The charity hopes that Allah will reward them with generosity and accept their good deeds this holy month.
The ‘Mobile Iftar’ initiative not only offers instant relief to the fasting but also encourages the essence of Ramadan by bringing a sense of community and compassion for others. Qatar Charity is dedicated to its cause of delivering assistance to needy people, strengthening social cohesion and maintaining the spiritual values of the holy month.
