Injured MotoGP champion Jorge Martin to return at Qatar Grand Prix
MotoGP champion Jorge Martin is getting ready to make his highly anticipated debut at the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix, subject to medical examination, the team said on Tuesday. This update has been making global headlines.
Martin championed last year’s MotoGP championship. But he suffered multiple fractures in a crash during pre-season testing. The injuries needed surgery. Martin has missed the first three rounds of the season, according to a report in Reuters.
The Spaniard highlighted in a statement his “great desire to be back on the track” and his happiness “to at least be able to try and race in Qatar.” Martin is aiming to take one step at a time to try and get back to the normal situation as soon as possible.
