Qatar Grand Prix: Head to Lusail International Circuit for an epic Formula 1 experience
It’s getting hotter in Doha. No, it’s not because of climate change, it’s those increasing activities at Lusail International Circuit for the Qatar Grand Prix. The iconic Formula 1 race is coming to the Gulf country for three days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Before you head out, there are a couple of apps you definitely need on your phone. The LIC app has 3D maps, frequently asked questions and real-time updates. Then there is the Lusail Tickets app, offering you essential information, schedules and navigation help.
You cannot just rock up to the Qatar F1 at any time of the day. During the three days of race, spectators can enter the Lusail International Circuit on
Friday: 11 am – 10 pm
Saturday: 1:30 pm – 11 pm
Sunday: 12 pm – 9 pm
Each person needs to go through security, no exceptions. You need to bring a valid ticket and identification card, bank cards as it’s a cashless venue, comfortable shoes and light layers as the evenings usually get cool.
The highly anticipated post-race concerts happen in a dedicated arena accessible through the Fan Zone. Gates open at 9 pm on Friday for Myriam Fares and 8 pm on Sunday for Maroon 5. If you have a valid race ticket, you can access the concerts too.
