Under the directives of King Salman and the continued efforts of Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi capital of Riyadh is hosting an Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit aimed at addressing the intensifying crisis in Gaza and Lebanon.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, UAE’s Vice President, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has landed in Riyadh to lead the Emirati delegation at the urgent Summit to discuss developments in the Middle East.
The UAE delegation includes Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan, Minister of State; Suhail bin Mohammed, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; and Dr Thani al-Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade. Senior Saudi officials received the delegation upon their arrival.
Finding a solution to the raging Middle East crisis
The key objectives of the urgent Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh include ceasing hostilities, ensuring civilian protection, extending support to Palestinian and Lebanese populations, and unifying the stance of different countries across the globe.
This Summit comes at a critical moment as regional leaders seek to consolidate their response to the raging conflicts in the Middle East. It demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s role in advocating for peace and stability across the globe.
Discussions at the Summit are expected to center on Israel’s military actions in Gaza and Lebanon. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif are among some of the prominent attendees at the Summit.
