Gigi Hadid Released After Being Arrested With Marijuana In Cayman Islands

Once again, the internet was abuzz with stunning pictures of the renowned supermodel, Gigi Hadid. Known for her fearless attitude and impeccable style, Gigi has been a fashion icon for nearly a decade. 

However, recently, her glamorous image was challenged when reports surfaced that she was caught with drugs (marijuana, weed) in her luggage while returning from a vacation with her friends.

Gigi was arrested last week after customs officials found marijuana and related items in her luggage during a visit to the Cayman Islands. 

However, the supermodel quickly refuted the claims by sharing glimpses of her trip on her Instagram handle. 

In the photos and video, Gigi could be seen enjoying herself on the picturesque beaches of the Cayman Islands, savoring oysters with her friends. Her caption read, “All’s well that ends well.”

The pictures went viral on social media, with some users jokingly commenting that they imagined her posting the pictures while getting bailed out. Another user referenced Britney Spears’s song “Criminal” in jest, writing, “Cause mama I’m in love with a criminal.”

Gigi Hadid and her fellow traveler were taken to the Prisoner Detention Center but were later released on bail. Two days after their arrest, on July 12, they appeared in court, pleaded guilty, and were each fined $1,000.

Clarifying the situation, it was later reported that the drugs and related items were actually found in her fellow traveler’s bag, not Gigi’s. Despite the mix-up, Gigi and her friend had to face the legal consequences.
