Microsoft has been investing in this with a pool of 7.3 billion dollars already invested since 2023; including a 1.5 billion equity investment in G42 and an excess of 4.6 billion in AI and cloud infrastructure. Other expansion projects, local businesses, and advanced datacenters development in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will be supported by another $7.9 billion in the period between 2026 and 2029. Boosting AI Innovation and Exports

The investment also introduces global standards of GPU in the UAE. Building Global Trust in AI

The mission of Microsoft is trust based. Efforts such as the Responsible AI Future Foundation which was established with G42 and MBZUAI encourage ethical AI activities within the Global South.
