Ferrari Makes History with 1-2-3 Finish at WEC Season Opener in Qatar
Ferrari started its season off perfectly at FIA WEC by dominating all three top positions in the first event in Qatar. For the first time since 1967 Ferrari won the top three positions at the Lusail Circuit through a ten-hour race.
Antonio Fuoco came into full driver control during a pit stop to beat Team #83 because Miguel Molina displayed remarkable driving expertise. The #83 team featuring Robert Kubica and his team partners Yifei Ye and Philip Hanson reached second spot while James Calado made up the sole Ferrari finishers by beating team Robert Kubica to third position.
After starting with technical issues and crashing into another car BMW M Team WRT successfully came back to secure fourth place through driver Kevin Magnussen alongside Dries Vanthoor and Raffaele Marciello in the #15 BMW M Hybrid V8 racing vehicle.
The #8 Toyota Gazoo Racing team closed ahead of its #7 racing mates after battling for the fifth and sixth positions in the opening 2025 WEC race. The number 33 Corvette won its race to conclude the most thrilling WEC season opener of 2025.
