shazam 2 star zachary levi criticizes hollywood for its ‘ 'garbage' content

Actor Zachary Levi, known for his role in Shazam 2, criticized the quality of content coming out of Hollywood, referring to it as “garbage.”

Speaking at the Chicago Fan Expo, he expressed his frustration with movies that fail to live up to their trailers and urged audiences to “actively not choose the garbage.”

He highlighted that once people buy tickets, filmmakers have their money, so the way to make a change is by avoiding poorly made films.

Levi also discussed how some films, despite negative critical reception, can still have positive audience scores. He referred to the low critical score of the Shazam sequel, which he felt was unjustified compared to the positive audience reception. He acknowledged that while the movie might not be a masterpiece, it is still a good film.

Levi’s comments about Hollywood’s content quality have sparked both support and speculation. Some netizens appreciate his honesty and concerns about the current state of movies, while others believe he might be indirectly criticizing Warner Bros, considering the underperformance of Shazam 2 at the box office.
