Ballon d'Or 2026

Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas are the reported winners of the 2026 Ballon d’Or, with both players claiming the top individual awards at a ceremony held at London’s Palladium Theatre. Kane’s victory is a highlight in English football’s history, while Putellas will be adding a third Ballon d’Or to her collection.

Ballon d’Or 2026: Harry Kane Take Men’s Award

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane was also said to have come in at the top but Real Madrid midfielder Kylian Mbappé and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal were next on the list. He is the first Englishman in 20 years to win the accolade since Michael Owen in 2001. Kane won the Gerd Müller Trophy for the men’s top striker, too.

Ballon d’Or 2026 Winners Include Alexia Putellas

It was the third time Putellas won the women’s award after being the victor in 2021 and 2022. She was picked in recognition for her efforts and good showing in Barcelona’s successful 2025–26 season, and is now helping the Lions of London. She finished better than Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor and Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw.

Ballon d’Or 2026 Winners Feature Yamal and Saka

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal had the best youth performance and teammate Vicky López was awarded the young player honour of the house in women’s basketball. Unai Simón and Cata Coll emerged as the two goalkeeper winners. Bukayo Saka won the Sócrates Award for Humanitarian Action and Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona took the club in men’s and in women’s prize.

Ballon d’Or 2026 Winners Complete Award List

Other winners were Luis de la Fuente (Spain) and Barcelona coach Pere Romeu. Charlyn Corral from Mexico was declared the winner of the women’s striker while Kane was named as the men’s striker winner with the main prize.

The event in London for the first time celebrated the 70th birthday with tribute to the first winner Stanley Matthews. Below is the list of other Ballon d’Or 2026 Winners.
