Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas are the reported winners of the 2026 Ballon d’Or, with both players claiming the top individual awards at a ceremony held at London’s Palladium Theatre. Kane’s victory is a highlight in English football’s history, while Putellas will be adding a third Ballon d’Or to her collection.
Ballon d’Or 2026: Harry Kane Take Men’s Award
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane was also said to have come in at the top but Real Madrid midfielder Kylian Mbappé and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal were next on the list. He is the first Englishman in 20 years to win the accolade since Michael Owen in 2001. Kane won the Gerd Müller Trophy for the men’s top striker, too.
Ballon d’Or 2026 Winners Include Alexia Putellas
It was the third time Putellas won the women’s award after being the victor in 2021 and 2022.
