India-Oman Partnership Expands with New AYUSH Information Cell in Muscat

The Government of India has promoted collaboration in traditional health care by opening an AYUSH Information Cell in Muscat with Oman. It is held at KIMS Health Hospital in Darsait, aims to advance India’s traditional health systems and promote the interaction of professionals and institutions among the public.

AYUSH Information Cell Strengthens India Oman Healthcare Cooperation

The AYUSH Information Cell was inaugurated jointly by H.E. Mr. Prashant Pise, Ambassador of India to Oman and Dr. Amir Mustafa, COO of KIMS Health Oman. The centre has been set up by the Embassy of India and KIMS Health Medical Center under the Ministry of AYUSH to set up a specific venue for information on traditional healthcare.

Traditional Medicine Systems Gain Wider Reach

The AYUSH Information Cell are Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. It will make information on preventive health care and wellness practices and traditional therapy available to residents, as well as the Indian expatriate community in Oman.

AYUSH Information Cell to Support Training and Outreach

The AYUSH information cell will facilitate lectures, training programmes, seminars, workshops and networking forums with healthcare professionals and wellness communities. The goal of the initiative is to foster prudent interaction between contemporary health care and the traditional wellness treatments that are grounded in evidence.

India Oman Health Ties Expand Through Traditional Medicine

The AYUSH Information Cell supplements enhanced engagement and existing cooperation in traditional medicine between AYUSH of India and Oman. It is also a part of the growing international AYUSH information centres of India for disseminating information about traditional healthcare, wellness research, and medical tourism.
