qatari youth and fazat al adaam

The General Secretariat of the GCC has bestowed awards on the Qatari youth and a community-led humanitarian project on their efforts in areas of leadership, sustainability, innovation, and social impact. The recognition is part of a focused initiative jointly presented by Qatar’s Ministry of Sports and Youth, emphasizing youth’s contribution to development.

The recognition highlights Fatima Saad Al Mohannadi and Saud Al Emadi in the category of Outstanding Creative Youth. They showed me that youth leadership has the power to transcend and span from international platforms to environmental entrepreneurs and sustainability.

GCC Recognizes Qatari Youth Excellence

Fatima Saad Al Mohannadi received an honor for youth leadership, representing Qatar at the UN, where she specializes in human rights, peace and security. She has also been a Platinum Winner, at the Qatar Award for Scientific Excellence and excelled in debate forums.

Saud Al Emadi received an award for the integration of chemical engineering with the entrepreneurship and training of youth and green entrepreneurship. His environmentally friendly initiatives have substituted more than 10 tons of traditional, single-use plastics with green alternatives. He has also advised more than 20 startup founders in the region promoting innovations among entrepreneurs.

Fazat Al-Adaam Youth Earns Community Recognition

The “Fazat Al-Adaam Youth” programme was recognised in the Pioneering Community Initiative in Youth Work category. The project was launched by the graduates of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s Youth Leadership Preparation Program in Humanitarian and Development Work in 2023 and thus aims to put leadership training into action within the community.

It has served approximately 10,000 beneficiaries in Qatar via the provision of health, elderly and worker care, awareness creation and distribution of seasonal food aid. The project “Jabr Khawater” is intended to help the impoverished and the elderly, as well as the “Azhari” campaign on breast cancer awareness.

Youth Leadership Supports Qatar’s Development Goals

The GCC recognition is supposed to build the importance of work programmes that provide young people with opportunities to develop leadership capabilities and to make social impact in the form of measurable results. Qatari youth are helping make training efforts community-based, humanitarian and sustainable all set to inspire communities in the GCC.

This recognition also recognizes the importance of working together between youth institutions and young leaders. This support facilitates innovators and volunteers to tackle social and environmental issues.
