The future of tourism in Africa is about to change significantly as the United Arab Emirates declared a historic $6 billion investment of the continent to spur sustainable growth and employment. The initiative was unveiled at the UAE Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025 in Dubai and through the sponsorship of the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the initiative will ensure that the UAE is dedicated to establishing long-term collaborations with African countries. It is estimated that the investment will create more than 70,000 new jobs, modernise aviation and infrastructure, and digitalise tourism in the entire continent. Empowering Africa’s Tourism and Economic Future
This is a strategic investment as it underscores the UAE vision to become a strong ally in the tourism revival of Africa. The project is aimed at the improvement of infrastructure, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and sustainable development.
