The members of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, National Guard, and Joint Operations Command were dispatched by the UAE in special rescue teams after the quake. These forces also had top equipment and manpower that were adequately trained to perform emergency search-and-rescue in the devastated areas. Their goal was to locate those beneath the rubble, administering them first aid, and arranging all local authorities in a manner conducive to delivering aid.

One of the things that can mobilize the UAE quickly is its desire to take action against an external crisis. Humanitarian Assistance to the Survivors

The UAE also sent much-needed humanitarian aid to support the immediate needs of earthquake victims, as well as rescue efforts. Cargo planes brought medical supplies, food parcels, and shelter tents to the disaster area. The provisions will serve those people who have lost their homes and cannot afford basic needs because of the tremors.

The relief package also included emergency healthcare kits to treat the injured, along with nutritional kits for the children and the elderly, the most vulnerable in such an emergency. It is through this combination of both short-run and long-run restorative assistance that the UAE has now re-established its status as a significant international humanitarian donor.

Humanitarian officials emphasized that such aid is a branch of the UAE wide-ranging vision to extend its help to needy countries regardless of geographical or political boundaries. The step strengthens the UAE culture of being supportive of crisis-affected communities around the world, not only by offering financial and material support but also by comprehending and empathizing with them in their hardships.
