The United Arab Emirates has increased its UAE Gaza humanitarian aid and transported huge relief, aid to the Palestinian civilians through its extensive Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. The Gulf country maintains its essential assistance to the people of Gaza, as many obstacles create a challenging scenario with regard to delivering assistance on the ground.

UAE Gaza Humanitarian Aid Reaches New Heights with Airdrops and Medical Support

The humanitarian aid program by the UAE has been a great success, especially in helping the population of Gaza. The country has conducted 57 successful airdrops through the program termed as Birds of Goodness, in which it has distributed 3,775 tonnes of food and relief items through 196 specialized aircraft. These operations of the humanitarian aid in the UAE to Gaza are specifically to the most hit and inaccessible places where conventional ground access is limited.

On July 30, the UAE carried out a fourth and consecutive day of airdrop tasks and, at the same time, delivered 58 humanitarian aid trucks via various land borders into Gaza. UAE runs an integrated field hospital located within the territory of Gaza, and it has attended to more than 51,000 cases since December 2023. The facility has 200 beds and serves to supply specialized medical care comprising including complex surgery and a humanitarian program of prosthetics for amputees.

UAE Gaza Humanitarian Aid Includes Floating Hospital and Patient Transfers

The UAE involved various aspects and suggestions to the humanitarian aid initiative in Gaza, including such novel solutions as a floating hospital located in the waters off the coast of Al Arish in Egypt. This is a 100-bed medical centre with about 10,370 cases treated here, operating theatres, intensive care units, and special medical equipment.

The UAE has pledged under the directives of the president, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to host 1000 Palestinian cancer patients and 1000 Palestinian children along with their families in hospitals in the UAE. In May 2024, more than 2,634 patients and their family members had already travelled to it to receive treatment.

The complete humanitarian program has also supplied more than 1,200 tonnes of medical equipment and supplies, such as dialysis machines, ultrasounds, and 17 new ambulances. UAE also ran an additional campaign of polio vaccination to cover more than 640,000 children.

Also, Dubai Humanitarian delivered three supplies in January, March, and April of 2025, comprising 256 metric tonnes of World Health Organization medical supplies to contribute to the healthcare sector of Gaza.

The long-term goals of the UAE’s Gaza humanitarian aid by the UAE are to enhance the infrastructure of the area through expanding the water pipes in the desalination plants and sanitizing the sewage system to avoid outbreaks of diseases and relaxing the lifestyle of Palestinian families.

The form of support given to the Palestinian people by the UAE is witnessed under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 operations, which displays the commitment of the UAE to the population of Palestine in these hard times to continue providing humanitarian assistance to the population that deserves it the most.
