Sania Mirza Weekend event scheduled for Yoga Day 2025 in Abu Dhabi
On June 21, Indian tennis great Sania Mirza will headline the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 celebrations at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre with the Indian Embassy hosted by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. This year’s theme is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
Sania, who has made Dubai her home for a large number of years, is a popular advocate for fitness and healthy living. Her presence as guest of honour showcases her commitment to living well and to the global yoga community.
Attendance at the event is free of charge and open to the public. Registrations are now live on the Indian Embassy’s social media channels. Attendees are required to provide their name, age, nationality, Emirates ID number, contact details and T-shirt size. Free yoga mats, IDY T-shirts, water bottles and refreshments will be provided by the Embassy.
The chief guest will be Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. The event is intended to bring all persons together from all communities and promote yoga’s holistic benefits for the individual and the world.
