Bahrain Partners with UK for Major 2026 Aviation Event
The occasion of the Bahrain International Airshow in 2026 has heralded the beginnings of preparations, with the strategic meeting held on 16th March 2024 between the Transportation Minister of Bahrain, His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and Farnborough International.
The high-level delegation from Bahrain included key civil aviation dignitaries such as the Acting Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs, Husain Al Shuail, and Yousif Mahmoud Mahmud, the Director General of BIAS. This collaboration was the reinforcement of a strong air-link between Bahrain and the UK.

Operating under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and under the supervision of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the airshow aspires to be the world’s most prestigious boutique airshow, spotlighting Bahrain’s growing stature in international aviation.
The 2025 edition turned out to be marvelous, with more than 57,000 trade visitors flocking from 83 countries and 226 civil and military delegations setting foot in the event. More than 125 aircraft graced the Sakhir Air Base for three days.
Elevated efforts in enhancing international participation and broadening commercial activities will be the highlight for 2026. The airshow remains a vital medium of showcasing aviation innovation, investment opportunities, and making aerospace relationships in the region tighter.
