riyadh expo 2030 saudi delegation offers progress update to bureau international des expositions

Saudi Arabia is getting ready to host Riyadh Expo 2030 from October 2030 to March 2031. A Saudi delegation recently took part in a Bureau International des Expositions meeting to analyse the Kingdom’s readiness to host the global event.

In 2023, Saudi Arabia clinched the bid to host the expo. Seeking to usher in an era of change, the event aims to be a unique platform for innovations and modern technologies in order to address some of the pressing challenges facing the planet in different fields.

The Riyadh Expo 2030 delegation attended the 175th general assembly meeting of the BIE, a Paris-based international exhibitions regulator. They updated senior officials of the BIE about the latest Saudi preparations for hosting the event.

Riyadh Expo 2030 to be an impactful global gathering

The delegation also discussed progress on efforts to accommodate an expected 246 exhibitors, including countries, organisations and companies. Located in the north of Riyadh, the site is approximately 5-10 minutes’ drive from King Khalid International Airport.

Riyadh Expo 2030 seeks to blend culture and future. Through the global event, participants aim to address inequalities and imbalances, ensure an inclusive future for all, ensure equality and opportunity across the globe, and find solutions for human needs.

The expo is going to be the most impactful global gathering in 2030. It shall reinforce the aspirations and objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals. Imagination, science and technology are all going to be connected in an interesting cultural setting.
