The 2024 Met Gala has arrived. Each year, celebrities and fashion designers from across the globe flock to NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for fashion’s biggest night out that marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition.
This year, the exhibition lent itself a versatile ‘The Garden of Time’ theme, featuring Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Lana Del Rey and several others. The extravaganza’s dress code draws inspiration from the 1962 short story of the same name by J.G. Ballard.

Best dressed celebrities at 2024 Met Gala
1. Zendaya
Zendaya stole the limelight in multiple looks – a Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano creation, based on a 1999 Dior dress, and a 1996 piece from John Galliano’s Givenchy era.
2. Alia Bhatt
Sporting a stunning saree by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Bhatt’s look featured a 23-foot-long train and rare gems, needed 1,905 man hours and efforts from 163 individuals.
3. Emma Chamberlain
Prominent YouTuber and fashion it girl, Chamberlain arrived at the 2024 Met Gala in a chocolate brown lace gown courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier.
4. Tyla
Tyla made her Met Gala debut this year. The South African singer and songwriter was seen in a Balmain gown sculpted in what looked like a dress molded from figure-hugging sand.
5. Kendall Jenner
Model Jenner arrived at the event in a 1999 Givenchy dress by John Galliano. She has given a number of Met Gala hits over the years and this year’s attire has also made it to that list.

Lopez made an unforgettable statement in a shimmery Schiaparelli silhouette. Her dress fit her like a glove. She shared that the sheer dress involved 2.5 million silver bugle beads.
