UAE July 2026 fuel prices

Motorists in the UAE have got a reprieve as fuel prices had the biggest monthly drop in a few months. There has been a significant drop in petrol and diesel prices after four months of consecutive hikes from the fuel hike due to regional tensions and increased oil prices. For those who drive an SUV, which often uses more gas than other cars, this latest change means real-world savings the next time you get to the pump.

Domestic fuel prices are calculated and adjusted monthly according to movements in international oil market prices in the UAE. The price of crude fell in June, and most consumers are now paying cheaper prices for all fuels categories, with July being one of the cheapest months to refuel since early 2026.

July 2026 Fuel Prices at a Glance

The Fuel Price Committee has reported huge cuts in all categories of fuel prices. Publishers Super 98 now charges you (AED) 3.40 per litre and Special 95 (AED) 3.29 per litre down from 3.40 and 3.83 respectively. E-Plus 91 now sells for AED 3.21 compared to AED 3.76 in June.

The most significant deductions are experienced by those who use diesel, spending a lot on each litre of the fuel before the deduction of 73 fils, which makes it cost AED 3.60 per litre.

How Much Can SUV Owners Actually Save?

The SUV is still one of the most preferred vehicle types available in UAE, especially with their fuel tank ranging from 70 to 90 litres. However, due to the price cut in July, drivers will immediately notice how cheaper it is to refuel.

The price of filling the 70-litre, Super 98 petrol tank in a 70-litre SUV will rise by about AED 238 in comparison to AED 276.50 in June. This equates to approximately AED 38.50 for a single full tank.

The price for filling larger SUVs that require an 80-litre tank decreases from AED 316 to AED 272, saving people about AED 44. Four-wheel-drive vehicles using 90 litre tanks can save almost AED 50 on each fill-up.

Used by motorists who fill up their tanks a number of times a month, these cuts can greatly reduce transportation costs.

Why Have Fuel Prices Fallen?

The drop is due to the softening of global crude oil prices during the month of June after months of market volatility. As the UAE has adopted a market-oriented pricing mechanism for fuel, domestic pump prices automatically adjust to the change in international oil benchmarks.

The new variation also marks the end of four months of heating fuel prices rising steadily since the end of February, increasing fuel prices by over 60%.

More Than Just Savings at the Pump

The fall in diesel prices will be advantageous for businesses besides private motorists. Fuel price reductions may result in reduced operation costs at logistics companies, delivery and commercial transport operators.

Another way consumers don’t necessarily benefit instantly is in delivery costs themselves, though; if delivery costs are lowered, over time, consumers stand to benefit, and that may help bring stabilisation in pricing to goods and services.
