Qatar passport jumps nine places to 46th spot globally

There is good news for Qatari citizens as according to the latest rankings, their country’s passport jumped 9 places to the 46th position making visa free travel to 107 nations. This isn’t the first time that the Qatari passport has climbed up, it has been steadily doing so since 2019, when it was in the 57th position on the list of 199 passports globally.

Qatar in Comparison to other Middle East Nations

According to the latest rankings, Qatar sits at number 2 position according to the passport index, 1st position taken by UAE at a global rank of 9th position having a visa free travel to 185 nations. The 3rd position in the middle east is Kuwait that occupies the 49th position globally having an access of 99 nations in visa free travels. 4th and 5th position is taken by Saudi Arabia and Bahrain both at 56th and 57th position respectively having access to 88 and 87 nations worldwide in terms of visa free entry. Sixth position is taken by Oman at 58th position globally having an access of 86 nations worldwide in terms of visa free access for its citizens.

The Henley report also indicated that Afghanistan has the weakest passport globally having access to 26 nations globally while the 1st position is taken by Singapore that has access to 195 countries. The 2nd position is taken by France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Japan having access to 192 countries.
