Managing your registered mobile numbers has become easier than ever in Kuwait. With the Sahel app, citizens can now see all SIM cards associated with their Civil ID, without having to travel to Government offices or Telecom branches.

The digital service is offered by the Ministry of Communications and the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority aimed at countering fraudulent entries, unauthorized registrations and to keep unnecessary mobile charges.

How to Check Registered SIM Cards Using the Sahel App?

This process takes about a few minutes, if there is a Sahel app and Kuwait Mobile ID (Hawyti).

Step 1: Log in to the Sahel App

Use the Sahel App on your Smartphone to log in with Hawyti credentials. It is an innovative solution, which is particularly efficient for secure verification of your identity prior to accessing government services.

Step 2: Open Government Services

From the main menu, click on Services. Look down the list of government entities, and choose either CITRA or the Ministry of Communications (MoC).

Step 3: Select Registered Lines Inquiry

Select the Registered Lines Inquiry / My Lines. All active telecom lines, which are filed for a particular Civil ID will be fetched automatically in the system.

Step 4: Review Your Mobile Numbers

Every active voice or data SIM in your name and their telecom provider (Zain, Ooredoo or STC) will be displayed on the app. Look through the list and make sure all of your numbers are in there.

What Should You Do If You Find an Unknown SIM?

Don’t be negligent about acting if you discover one you don’t know or don’t use. Depending on the service type, they can temporarily suspend or permanently cancel the line right from the Sahel app.

If you don’t have the ability to cancel online, go to the relevant telecom operator with your Civil ID and ask for a line termination/ disown. Should the problem not be solved, an official complaint can be made here via the official complaint services of CITRA’s digital services.
