Qiddiya City Will Emerge as Global Destination: Saudi Crown Prince

The city of Qiddiya, in the near future, will become the foremost global destination in the fields of entertainment, sports and culture, says the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It will be a cornerstone of the Saudi Vision 2030.

He said the megaproject will have a positive impact on Saudi Arabia’s economy and its international standing, enhancing Riyadh’s strategic position and contributing to its economic growth.

One-of-a-Kind Destination Qiddiya City

Mohammed bin Salman has touted Qiddiya City as a one-of-a-kind destination located on the outskirts of Riyadh. It promises endless fun and excitement for its residents and visitors through unrivalled offerings in entertainment, sports, culture and urban living.

Qiddiya will have 60,000 buildings in an area of 360 square kilometers and expected to host over 600,000 residents. The city will create over 325,000 job opportunities and attract about 48 million visits per year with its never-built-before array of world class attractions and venues.

Moreover, the Crown Prince said Qiddiya City will be a home of the first gaming and e-sports district, a speed park track, golf courses, multipurpose stadium and a massive water theme park. Its unparalleled proximity and concentration of sports, culture and entertainment experiences in one place will make it a globally unique destination.

Qiddiya City Saudi Vision 2030

The Qiddiya City megaproject is part and parcel of Saudi Vision 2030, under which the country has seen unprecedented reforms in the public sector, economy and society as a whole . The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 states that Qiddiya will provide Saudi Arabia’s youthful population with new opportunities for entertainment, creativity and fun.

“By offering a world-class tourism destination in the heart of Saudi Arabia, the project will create new jobs, help build more prosperous and vibrant society, and help repatriate the billions of dollars Saudis spend on outbound tourism annually.”
