10,500+ Workers Benefit from UAE Unemployment Insurance Program in 2024
According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), over 10,500 UAE workers received vital financial assistance during times of unemployment in 2024 as a result of the Unemployment Insurance program. For workers in the federal government and commercial sectors nationwide, the plan represents a major step towards bolstering social security.
The Unemployment Insurance System which was introduced as a component of a larger social safety net currently has about 9 million members. For a maximum of three months, it offers monetary compensation equivalent to 60% of a worker’s base pay guaranteeing stability while they move on to new chances. The system is a reflection of the UAE government’s continuous dedication to preserving economic stability and helping workers through difficult times.
