UAE ranked second safest country in 2025
The UAE has been named one of the safest countries globally. Numbeo recently found that the Gulf state ranks second on the list of safest countries. The UAE secured a score of 84.5 in the global safety index. But it is not surprising.
Numbeo’s safety index considers different factors to prepare the list. The total index score is determined by general perception of crime levels and concerns about violent crime, burglary and discrimination. Scores are continuously updated on the platform.
If the score is higher, it means the country is considered really safe. In addition to the UAE, Qatar and Oman are the other GCC countries ranking in the top 5 list. Qatar came third, securing a score of 84.2, and Oman got 81.7 to secure the fifth position.
The top 10 list also includes Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Earlier in 2025, Dubai secured the second position in the list of safest cities by Numbeo. The UAE capital secured the first position and Sharjah came third on the list.
