The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been named as the country that most young Arabs would like to live in for the 12th consecutive year, according to a report by the Arab Youth Survey.
The Arab Youth Survey, one of the largest studies of its kind in the Arab world’s largest demographic, conducted face-to-face interviews with 3,600 young people aged between 18 and 24 across 18 different countries. It turned out that the UAE is the most desirable country to live in for Arabs.
Young people lauded the safety and security of the UAE. Around 41 percent of votes were for the UAE’s safety and security. Around 28 percent of votes were for the UAE’s growing economy. The UAE also received 24 percent votes for its effective leadership, 22 percent votes for a clean environment, and 20 percent votes for the ease of starting a business.
The country also received 19 percent votes for being a good place to raise a family. The UAE was also appreciated for offering high-quality schools (16 percent), a place with a strong cultural identity and heritage (16 percent), and offering generous salaries (13 percent).

According to The National, one in four Arab youth (24 per cent) named the UAE as their top choice for where they would most likely live. Many people also appreciated the ease of obtaining a salary in the UAE.
Last year, in September, the UAE was named as the country Arabs would most like to live in, according to the results of the 14th Annual ASDA’A BCW Arab Youth Survey. The UAE’s main attributes were its growing economy with 27 per cent of votes, its safe and secure environment with 26 per cent of votes, its salary packages and the wide range of work opportunities (22 per cent), and the UAE’s effective leadership (17 per cent).
