Snow Abu Dhabi | Reem Mall

Snow Abu Dhabi, the family’s favourite entertainment destination in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), opened its doors to the public on Thursday at Reem Mall, a shopping mall located in Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.

The sub-zero indoor park is a 9,732-square-metre facility. It is located on the second level of the mall and is operated by Majid Al Futtaim, an Emirati holding company based in Dubai. It is also behind Ski Dubai at the Mall of the Emirates.

The design of Snow Abu Dhabi is inspired by an enchanted forest. It features a huge pair of
boots, a mountain troll, the Mascots of Graupel, and other magical creatures. The park’s
centrepiece is a huge tree.

The design of the lobby of Snow Abu Dhabi creates the illusion of being inside the trunk of the
woods. The lobby has ticketing kiosks, lockers, changing rooms, two souvenir shops, and a
photo counter.

The cold side of the entrance to the park is similar to Narnia, a land created by author CS Lewis in his The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe series.

According to The National, people need to wear winter gear to enter the snow park because the temperature dips to -2°C. It has a snowflake garden, the Crystal Carousel, and the Polar Express Train. The scene looks mesmerising.

People can go to the tree by taking the stairs. Various rides are available there. The top of the
huge tree provides aerial views of the park. It is also the starting point of the Troll Bowl, where
people can get inside an inflatable ball that goes down a snowy slope. A roll glider, zip-line, and Drift’s Downhill Run are also available inside the Snow Park. The top of the tree also has an Enchanted Cafe. People can get bigger meals at The Lodge restaurant.
