The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has various ancient cultural sites, with a land area of about 2150000 km². 1. NEOM

NEOM is one of the most popular mega projects in Saudi Arabia. Under the NEOM project, Saudi Arabia will establish a new urban area in the northwestern Tabuk Province. NEOM, the mega-development project currently under construction in Saudi Arabia, has already won the rights to host the 2029 Winter Games. 

The $500 billion NEOM megacity project will have its own NEOM Bay, NEOM Bay Airport, and NEOM Industrial City. It is considered one of the largest and most complex construction projects worldwide. 

2. The Red Sea Project

The Red Sea is a new mega project, which is set to open on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. It is managed by Red Sea Global and is a part of the Saudi Vision 2030 program. Under the Red Sea Project, the Saudi authorities will provide vocational training to youth. The project will also create more jobs for youth. Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, announced the Red Sea Project in order to encourage entrepreneurship development.

3. AMAALA

AMAALA is an upcoming mega project in Saudi Arabia, which is managed by Red Sea Global. The project aims to attract visitors to the Red Sea coast in order to boost tourism. It is expected to become a progressive destination for recreation and wellness. The project is being made using renewable energy.

4. The Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) 

The Middle East Green Initiative (MGI), an energy transition project by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to mitigate the impact of climate change on the Middle East region. It was launched by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2021 with the aim of restoring 200 million hectares of degraded land. 

5. King Salman Energy Park

King Salman Energy Park is a new megaproject being developed as a hub for the global energy market in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The mega project is managed by Saudi Aramco, a petroleum and natural gas company of Saudi Arabia. 

The project will also provide easy access to King Fahd International Airport, King Abdul-Aziz Seaport, and the GCC highway.
