In a recent development, the Musaned platform, operating under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), has unveiled updated recruitment regulations. These regulations now mandate that unmarried Saudi men or women seeking a domestic worker visa must be at least 24 years old.
The platform emphasizes the importance of confirming eligibility before initiating the application process. Prospective applicants can verify their eligibility in alignment with the approved recruitment regulations by visiting the official Musaned platform website at –https://musaned.com.sa/terms/faq_reg
The guidelines for issuing visas for recruiting domestic workers and their equivalents extend to various categories of citizens. This includes Saudis, citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council states, members of displaced tribes, the wife and mother of a citizen, and holders of premium residency. These individuals are permitted to obtain domestic worker visas based on their financial capacity.
By the financial capacity rules, the salary requirements and bank balance criteria for issuing visas differ depending on whether it’s the first, second, or third visa. For instance, the minimum balance for a bank document for the first visa is SR40000, with subsequent increases for the second and third visas.
The MHRSD established the Musaned platform as the official portal for household services and home employment programs. This initiative aims to outline the rights and duties of both workers and employers, contributing to the development of the recruitment sector in the Kingdom. The platform offers a range of services to enhance and streamline the recruitment process, as well as mechanisms to address complaints and disputes between contracting parties while safeguarding their rights.
Domestic Worker Visas: Musaned Sets the Age Limit at 24 for Saudis
The decision to raise the age requirement for Saudi domestic worker visas to 24 reflects a strategic move by the Musaned platform and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. By aligning eligibility criteria with financial capacity, the regulations aim to ensure responsible recruitment. The emphasis on verification underscores a commitment to transparency and fairness in the application process.
This development, part of broader reforms, demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to enhancing the recruitment sector. The Musaned platform’s role in outlining rights and duties fosters a balanced employment landscape, marking a positive step towards a more regulated and equitable industry.
