Linda Yaccarino: Twitter will be the ‘world’s most accurate real-time info source’
Linda Yaccarino, the new CEO (chief executive officer) of Twitter, has sent a memo to all Twitter employees titled “Building Twitter 2.0 Together” that showed plans to make the social media company the “world’s most accurate real-time information source.”
In her message to Twitter employees, Linda Yaccarino highlighted the goal of turning Twitter into the “global town square.” Twitter employees also welcomed its new CEO. She asked Twitter employees to support her in building “Twitter 2.0- the world’s most accurate real-time information source.”

The email read, “The success of Twitter 2.0 is all of our responsibility. We can do it by starting from first principles–questioning our assumptions and building something new from the ground up.” She also said that everyone should have the freedom to speak their mind.
Linda Yaccarino’s arrival as CEO is important for Twitter. She has experience in leading global ad sales for NBC Universal, an American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, will continue to oversee Twitter’s product and engineering teams, while Yaccarino will look into business operations.
Last month, Elon Musk named Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of the micro-blogging social networking site Twitter. Elon Musk said, “I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter! We will transform this platform into X, the everything app.”
