Kuwait Airways Summer Destinations 2026

Kuwait Airways has hit the headlines of the Gulf, announcing for the first time its largest seasonal launch for summer 2026. The national airline has announced it’ll begin flights to 12 much-anticipated summer destinations across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, offering passengers a plethora of holiday options ahead of the hectic vacation season.

The expansion forms part of Kuwait Airways’ overall strategy to expand its regional and worldwide influence and to grow direct services from Kuwait International Airport. Currently, the bookings have been climbing for the flight and many travellers are rushing on board before summer demand sends fares down further.

Kuwait Airways’ Full June 2026 Route Launch Calendar

The schedule has been planned in stages gradually over the course of June with a gradual rollout to ensure operations can step up as per travel demand. The first is Alexandria in Egypt on June 9th and will be joined over the next week with a number of regional and European routes as well.

Kuwait Airways will start direct flights to both Sharm El Sheikh, in Egypt, and to Salalah in Oman on June 10. The places are likely to be a hot spot for people who want to get away from a change in climate even if it is for someplace with a beach during the Gulf summer.

Now, on June 12, direct flights to Zurich, Switzerland, will bring even greater access for Kuwaitis to Alpine tourism and luxury shopping destinations in Europe. Then, on the 14th of June flights to the island of Mykonos, Greece, officially take off.

European and Turkish Routes Dominate Mid-June Expansion

The airline’s most extensive route expansion comes on June 16, when the airline conducts three launches: to Vienna (Austria), Sarajevo ( Bosnia) and Trabzon ( Türkiye). GCC tourists flock to these places with their moderate summer climate and the family-friendly appeal of each of those places.

Antalya, Türkiye will join the network on June 15th, and Bodrum is scheduled to join on June 17th. The two Turkish resorts are still yearly hot spot summer destinations for tourists from the Gulf.

Moreover, Kuwait Airways announced that Malaga in Spain and Nice in France would be opening up their flights during June with no official flight dates having been revealed.

Why Are These Destinations Trending in Kuwait?

With the July to September major expansion of its route structure, the airline has sparked a surge in online travel clicks and inquiries from Kuwaitis, helping to create a mix of luxury trips to Europe, regional deals and short haul beach vacations that all appeal to travellers.

For those looking for an out-of-the-box experience, such destinations as Mykonos, Zurich and Nice are drawing top dollar holidays as Salalah and Sharm El Sheikh are becoming a forgotten favourite for family booking to lower-cost summer holiday destinations nearer the Gulf states.

Earlier booking trends also appear to be rising for countries like Bosnia and Austria, and Türkiye, as they offer a level of visa ease and travel cost that is not what is found in Western Europe, according to travel agencies in Kuwait.

Kuwait Airways Launches WhatsApp Customer Support

Kuwait Airways has also deployed a new official WhatsApp business service to make customer services easier for holiday travel, along with the route announcements.

Now passengers can conveniently use the chat to view flight schedules, adjust their booking, check baggage allowances, and keep track of refund requests, as opposed to having to wait on long customer service phone queues.

Moreover, the airline said it has resolved over 55% of previously pending customer refund matters and will handle the remaining cases by connecting with the AverageNet of Air India.

Pending Route Speculation Creating Buzz

One of the other factors behind the ongoing social media buzz around Kuwait Airways is the airline’s news on some other additional routes being in the process of regulatory review.

Some near-future destinations are: Tashkent’s nearby: New York, Beijing, Moscow, Krakow, Abu Dhabi, Tbilisi, Baku, Damascus The official approvals are yet to be received, but pilgrims and flying fanatics are already placing heavy bets on when they will be allowed to fly.

On condition of approval, it is expected that it will give Kuwait Airways a much wider presence in the long haul and regional market by the end of 2026.
