Dubai Fountain nears last performance before planned upgrade

The iconic Dubai Fountain is set to see it final performance this month before a long break for a planned upgrade – earlier than the previous May closure. Emaar has announced that the fountain is set to close for most of 2025.

The upgrade process is expected to take up the bulk of the year. You can expect better technology, enhanced choreography and a more elaborate sound and lighting system. The performance is held regularly in the Burj Lake.

The Dubai Fountain performance happens once in 30 minutes daily as the sun sets in front of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building globally. The spectacle can be seen from Dubai Mall, too – one of the largest shopping malls across the globe.

Songs regularly featured in the performances include ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson. For a long time, Dubai Fountain has been attracting millions of people. It has set the stage for unforgettable moments, enjoyed by audiences from different countries.
