Oman is investing more than $30 billion in the hydrogen economy, primarily to position itself as one of the world’s leading producers of hydrogen by 2030. The nation is also leading the way in the production of electricity through the use of clean energy, especially from wind and solar power plants.

Energy and Minerals Minister Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi stressed Oman’s determination to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 through a comprehensive national plan. This plan promotes clean energy and green projects like green hydrogen production.
