UAE rushes humanitarian assistance to Myanmar and Gaza
The UAE is at the forefront of countries rushing urgent humanitarian assistance to people in need because of conflicts and natural disasters across the globe. It reflects the Gulf state’s international humanitarian obligations.
In implementation of the instructions of President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the UAE has urgently dispatched a search and rescue team to support efforts to help people affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar.
Myanmar and Thailand recently noted a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, strong enough to flatten dozens of buildings. The death toll has risen to more than 2,000. Numerous countries are extending a helping hand, including the UAE.
In Gaza, families of patients and the injured recently extended their heartfelt congratulations and greetings to the UAE leadership on the occasion of Eid 2025. They expressed their gratitude for the UAE’s noble stance in supporting the Palestinian people.
