The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that citizens from 82 countries can enter the UAE without needing a visa in advance. This is good news for tourists who want to visit the country.
The ministry has provided a website where people can check if they are exempt from needing a visa. The website also has information on visa requirements for citizens of other countries.
However, there are still 115 countries whose citizens need to apply for a visa before traveling to the UAE. These citizens should check the website to see if they need a visa or not.
They can also find more information on visa requirements on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security. It is also recommended to contact the airline for additional information.
GCC citizens, which includes citizens from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, do not need a visa or a sponsor to visit the UAE. They can simply present their passport or ID card upon arrival at any port of entry.
For citizens of the Republic of India, they can obtain an entry visa upon arrival if they have a valid passport and a visit visa or green card from the US, or a residence visa from the UK or EU countries.
The UAE Digital Government has provided a link where people can check if they need a visa to enter the UAE. Upon arrival, visitors can obtain an entry visa that is valid for either 30 days or 90 days, depending on their nationality.
It is important to note that some nationalities still need to obtain an entry permit from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs before traveling to the UAE. The type of permit needed depends on the purpose of the visit.
