The United Arab Emirates will witness a spectacular nationwide event tomorrow, January 17, 2026, marking the “Day of Resolve.” This is an annual event to celebrate the resilience and unity of the country, after the Houthi attacks on Abu Dhabi in 2022. To honor this spirit of solidarity, the UAE Armed Forces, in cooperation with “Fursan Al Emarat” (The Knights), will conduct a coordinated aerial procession across all seven emirates. The exhibites are expected to reflect on the preparedness, professionalism, and power of the military of the country and convert a memory of war into a strong declaration of national pride and its defense potential.
Schedule for “Day of Resolve” aerial displays
Residents in Abu Dhabi can expect the aerial displays to commence with helicopters arriving at the Corniche/Flagpole area at 3:05 PM, followed by fighter jets at 4:30 PM. The formation will then move to Dubai where the Burj Al Arab will be traversed by the formation at 3.50 PM (helicopters) and 4.43 PM (jets). The UAE Armed Forces have coordinated the flight path to ensure maximum visibility over key coastal landmarks, allowing the public to witness the procession from the ground.

The procession moves to the north with accuracy. In Sharjah, the aerial displays will be visible between the coasts of Dubai and Sharjah at 4:00 PM.
