Sheikh Hamdan: Dubai's Crown Prince has an affinity for adventure and travel: here's a glimpse

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, is known to his millions of social media followers for his love of adventure and travel. He often jets off to new destinations and has been spotted skydiving and horse riding in far-flung locations.

Fazza, as he is also known, posted a series of pictures on Instagram on May 2022, highlighting his affinity for travelling across the globe. The picture gallery begins with a snap of the father of two in Scotland, appropriately dressed for the country’s changeable weather.

Sheikh Hamdan is also seen in another picture in the Maldives, casually dressed and sitting in front of an overwater villa, surrounded by the Indian Ocean. Then in Mongolia, he is seen in a powder blue kandura and the place’s rolling plateaus serve as a backdrop.

There is also a snap of the Crown Prince in the English countryside, cycling past a horse in the Yorkshire fields. On a trip to Switzerland, he can be seen sporting a woolen hat as he stands in front of a thermal hot spring and a snow-covered alpine forest is visible behind him.

Fazza has more than 16 million followers on Instagram. He often takes to the social media platform to share pictures and throwbacks, offering rare insights into his adventures and childhood. The gallery has collected over 630,000 likes to date.

Sheikh Hamdan and adventure activities

His Highness is no amateur when it comes to extreme sports. He has been a part of numerous adrenaline-fuelled activities, including flying a motorised paraplane, taking a plunge in the deepest pool (Deep Dive Dubai) and climbing up to the top of Burj Khalifa.

Scaling the tallest building on Earth

Decked in his climbing gear in 2022, the Crown Prince of Dubai took a snap of him standing on the tip of the spire while waving the UAE flag. He had previously scaled the Burj Khalifa back in 2013, in celebration of Dubai winning the bid to host Expo 2020.

Impressive flyboarding skills

In 2019, Sheikh Hamdan showed the global community his serious core strength through an extreme watersport activity – flyboarding. The sport might look easy, but is quite dangerous and demands a varied skill set, reported Emirates Woman.

Skydiving over Dubai

It’s no surprise that Fazza, known for his passion for physical activity and extreme sports, is a keen fan of skydiving. In a picture uploaded in January 2021, he can be seen preparing to jump off a chopper. He captioned the post: “Let’s have a good day.”
