UAE strengthens SDG cooperation at high-profile UN forum in US
The UAE recently participated in the 2025 UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development at the UN headquarters in the US, bringing into focus its commitment to building strong international partnerships.
The UAE considerably focused on enhancing international cooperation at the Forum and accelerating progress in the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and beyond. Let us get into the details in this article.
During the forum, the UAE delegation also held more than 48 bilateral meetings, participated in 8 keynote sessions and joined 10 important gatherings related to the HLPF agenda. The UAE also hosted 10 side events to highlight its local and global development model.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also referred to as Global Goals, are a call to action to end hunger, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people across the globe enjoy peace, prosperity and stability.
The UAE has a deepening focus on SDGs. During the forum in the US, the UAE underscored its development model and explored better strategies to accelerate progress in the direction of SDGs. The forum definitely noted a number of key discussions being made.
The Forum also noted global progress on 5 significant SDGs, related to good health, gender equality, economic progress and partnerships for the ambitious goals. The UAE is strongly committed to building resilient and sustainable systems for the future.
