Saudi Crown Prince Launches CEER’s First Electric Vehicles

The EXOBOT sedan and SUV are part of the first EV portfolio launched by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the first Saudi public investment authority led by the Public Investment Fund as well as the Kingdom’s Electric Vehicle Company.

Unveiling of the vehicle, a first step in Saudi Arabia’s bid to create local EV vehicles and boost its advanced manufacturing capabilities to align with Saudi Vision 2030. CEER is a brand new Saudi electric vehicle (cCEV) that was introduced by PIF in 2022 as the first Saudi brand of electric vehicles.

EXOBOT Combines Saudi Identity With Modern Design

The EXOBOT sedan and SUV have been designed within a language of nature and heritage inspired by the Saudi environment. Locally inspired design elements and elements of contemporary automotive technology and consumers’ usability are combined together in the models.

Marketers across the region and Saudi Arabia will be located to the vehicle strategy for CEER. The company is also working on cars powered by connectivity, infotainment and autonomous technologies.

CEER Manufacturing Complex Supports Local Production

In relation to production, CEER is related to the CEER manufacturing goals in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the growth of the broader automotive ecosystem around vehicle manufacturing, components and technology.

CEER is a joint venture company between PIF and Foxconn, with BMW providing the vehicle development with component technology license. Foxconn takes care of the development of electrical architecture for the vehicles.

The company has been expanding its network of suppliers in Saudi Arabia. CEER made 11 agreements in 2025 valued at SAR5.5 billion, with over 80% of the agreements pursued by Saudi companies, satisfying the demands of localization.

CEER Supports Saudi Economic Diversification

The fact that CEER is part of Saudi Arabia’s industrial diversification program is no coincidence. PIF estimates that the company would generate around SAR30 billion in direct GDP benefits by 2034 and up to 30,000 direct and indirect employment.

It also helps the Kingdom build advanced manufacturing, draw investments and build their energy and automotive sector capabilities.
