Published
6 days agoon
Qatar Charity has done great things this week in Yemen. They treated many ill persons by performing major surgeries on the heart and the kidneys. These are very hard operations to perform but they can be very useful in saving lives. The doctors assisted those kids who were affected by heart disease. They treated the hearts of 54 kids! They also assisted grown-ups who wanted new kidneys. Amongst them was a 62-year-old man by the name of Qasim Al-Banna who was also assisted by the organization. He got a new kidney today!
More Help is Coming
Qatar Charity isn’t finished yet. They want to assist more people in Yemen and for this reason, they are willing to risk their lives. For the next few months, they intend to be performing more heart and kidney surgeries. They seek to find 30 more people who can get new kidneys.
Special Help for Children with Heart Disease
One of the specific programs that are implemented by the Qatar Charity is the ‘Compassionate Hearts’. With this project, they were able to mend the hearts of 41 children and young adults. It was even more successful than they expected; they fed 11 additional kids than they had anticipated.
Big Heart Operations
The doctors also had some very large heart surgeries. These are referred to as ‘open-heart surgeries.’ They can perform 12 of these large-scale operations in a week. They hope to perform 70 of such operations when they are through with their work.
Why This is Important
This help is very important as stated by a doctor named Professor Abudar Alganadi. Yemen is in a bad situation at the moment and a lot of people are ill. These operations as we know can be a matter of life and death and can improve the quality of life of many individuals. He thanked Qatar Charity and the nice people of Qatar who donated money to assist them.
This year in March, Qatar Charity introduced a new machine in Yemen. This machine is named as “Azurion 3 F15”. This assists doctors to have a better and deeper view of hearts. This means that they can assist the sick persons even better!
