Different countries have different celebrations. For example, there is Oktoberfest in Germany and Thanksgiving in the US. The Indian state of Kerala has Onam to mark the arrival of harvest. This year, the celebrations are being observed from September 6-15.
Restaurants across Dubai have joined in on the annual celebrations and are bringing out some pretty great Onam Sadhyas to try out. Sadhya translates to feast in Malayalam language. It is a huge delicious meal served on a banana leaf, boasting several different flavours.
