The Mammoth Freighters 777-200LRMF converted freighter obtained its first launch customer status from Qatar Airways Cargo through a five-aircraft acquisition with Jetran, LLC. Through this planned acquisition, Qatar Airways solidifies its position as the biggest air freight company worldwide.
Quatar Airways Cargo’s Chief Officer Cargo Mark Drusch announced that new fleet expansion would dramatically strengthen their cargo service operations all over the world. The new converted freighters support the carrier’s goal to operate the world’s biggest freighter network.
Mammoth Freighters achieved an important triumph by conducting a successful first test flight of their 777-200LRMF prototype. N705DN obtained a registration status at Aspire MRO during its extensive conversion work at their Fort Worth, Texas, facility.
The aircraft integrates Collins Aerospace’s specialized cargo loading system designed for passenger-to-freighter conversions, which maintains reliable operation throughout all 777 production freighters due to common parts.
