HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of UAE, and Donald Trump, President of US, held a detailed phone call on March 25 to discuss strategies to further strengthen the strategic bilateral relations across different fields.
The call came as part of the longstanding UAE-US bilateral partnership. During the discussion, the leaders also focussed on the outcomes of the recent official trip to the US by HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed.
UAE and US Presidents discuss Middle East crisis
During the recent trip, the UAE committed to a one-decade-long partnership to substantially increase the country’s existing financial support to the US economy in artificial intelligence infrastructure, semiconductors, energy and manufacturing.
In the phone call on Monday, the UAE and US Presidents discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, focusing on the situation in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.
Both leaders are seeking to maintain regional stability. HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stressed the importance of ensuring the supply of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza in light of the dire humanitarian situation there.
UAE and US promoting bilateral strategic relations
The UAE President affirmed his country’s commitment to continuing to strengthen bilateral relations in pursuit of their mutual goals and in support of peace and prosperity in the region and beyond.
This commitment reflects the UAE’s steadfast approach to promoting collaboration at both regional and global levels. Both sides underscored their determination to further bolster bilateral strategic cooperation in a manner that supports shared interests.
