Co-organized with the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation and the Kuwait Embassy in Japan, the event brings to Kuwait a powerful exhibit of photographs, testimonies and documents that show the destructive effects of the atomic bombings in August 1945.
The exhibition will be inaugurated with an opening ceremony and then a talk by Hiraoka Sachiko, daughter of a Bomb survivor who will present a very personal view of the long-term effects of nuclear war. Her presence highlights the human side of the historical facts and provides emotional depth to the experience.
The Japanese Embassy underscored that the reason behind this exhibition is not merely to educate but also to inspire hope in a future full of peace and without nuclear weapons. By sharing the atrocities of the past it seeks to empower the young generations to work toward a more humane and collaborative world.
