King Fahd Causeway toll rates 2026

The KFCA officially revised the costs of the terrestrial link between the two kingdoms. Although the announcement itself will be instant, the updated pricing will take complete effect as early as February 18, 2026. This is in order to accommodate a decade of unchanging prices and help accommodate vast infrastructure upgrades. Light vehicles will see a transition from the previous rate to a new standard of 35 Riyals (3.5 BHD). Such a strategic action is aimed at increasing the quality of services provided, managing traffic better, and ensuring the safety level that is very high, as this is a significant economic and social canal of the region.

New Protocols for the Border Crossing

The old schedule was modified where motorcycles and small cars will be charged at the 35 SR mark, minibuses and large buses will be charged 55 SR and 70 SR respectively. The vehicles used in heavy transport will be charged on a weight-based charge of 7 SR per ton. To ensure the Border Crossing remains accessible, the KFCA has confirmed that students, individuals with disabilities, and verified daily travelers are exempt from these increases, preserving the affordability of essential travel for key demographic groups during this transition.

Savings via Official Travel Packages

To mitigate the impact on regular commuters, the authority has launched a series of Travel Packages through the Jesr app. These online subscriptions have huge discounts of up to 40 percent to regular consumers. By utilizing these Travel Packages, travelers can enjoy a more cost-effective and streamlined journey. Moreover, the implementation of electronic payment systems through official applications is likely to attract the peak-hour congestion dramatically, which will result in the bridge being the choice in terms of both commercial logistics and weekend tourism. for more news updates, visit our Gulf Independent News page.
